Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Barkeepr ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Barkeepr is a home bar management application that allows users to track their alcohol inventory, discover cocktail recipes, and determine which cocktails they can make based on their available ingredients.

3. Age Requirement

The App is intended for users who are of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. By using the App, you represent that you are of legal drinking age in your location. JJMK Studios does not encourage or endorse underage drinking.

4. Responsible Drinking

The App is designed to help you explore cocktail recipes and manage your home bar. JJMK Studios encourages responsible alcohol consumption. Please drink responsibly and never drink and drive.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Barkeepr offers optional premium subscriptions that provide additional features. All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.

6. User Content

You may create custom recipes and other content within the App. You retain ownership of any content you create. Your bar inventory, favorites, and custom recipes are stored locally on your device (and optionally synced via iCloud if you enable that feature).

Certain features, such as the AI Recipe Maker, require sending limited, non-personal data (generic ingredient types and preferences) to our servers in order to function. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data is sent and how it is used.

7. AI-Generated Content

The AI Recipe Maker feature uses artificial intelligence to generate cocktail recipe suggestions based on your available ingredients. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated recipes are suggestions for entertainment and inspiration purposes. They may not always produce optimal or balanced cocktails.
• You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated recipe before preparing it, including verifying ingredient safety and compatibility.
• JJMK Studios does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or suitability of AI-generated recipes.
• Generic ingredient data from your bar is sent to a third-party AI service (Anthropic) to generate recipes. No personally identifiable information is included. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services to provide certain functionality, including barcode product lookups, AI recipe generation, and backend data hosting. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. JJMK Studios is not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers. 9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, recipes, and content provided by JJMK Studios, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. JJMK STUDIOS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Recipe information, including AI-generated recipes, is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. JJMK Studios does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any recipe for any purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JJMK STUDIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JJMK Studios and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
